Does anybody know if PICO is a commercial or shareware software....

If it is commercial can someone out there please tell me where I can
buy it and for how much.

Else if is shareware can someone tell me where I can download it...

I don't have the URL, but it comes with PINE (pico stands for PIne
COmposer), a great terminal mail reader/sender.

Try sunsite.unc.edu somewhere under /pub/Linux/... and get the Pine package.

Pine comes with Pico as the editor for writing email...

I spend a lot of time myself looking for Pico until I found out that it
was in the Pine package :)

You can get pico from ftp.cac.washington.edu. They have it precompiled for
various operating systems. If yours is not among them, you have to get
the whole pine mail distribution and compile it yourself. (This is pretty
troublefree.)
