Finding controlling terminal

Post by John J. Sasso J » Sun, 26 Jun 1994 07:08:26

   In C, how do I find the controlling terminal (e.g. /dev/ttyp8).  I
need something which doesn't bomb if my routine is running in the background
where ther is no controlling terminal.

1. How do I find controlling terminal ?

Hi,

I'm trying to find the controlling terminal for a particular PID
u_area, but I'm having no success in finding it.

I'm running SunOS 4.1.3, any help would be very gratefully appreciated
- please EMail me if possible as I do not read this group often.

Thanks very much,

Nigel
