child's child redirection

child's child redirection

Post by Siva Nadaraj » Fri, 20 Nov 1992 22:12:51

I am developing an application on Sparc II running SunOS 4.1.2.
In this application in several instances I have to fork+exec
"xterm -e command".

Is there any easy way I could redirect the stderr of the "command"
to a file?

Your response is much appreciated.

Siva.

1. Getting a child and child's child process-id

Why not just have the parent fork twice ??? Saves a lot of trouble ...
