We've got several NFS hard mounts, in an attempt to
guarentee no data loss when doing NFS writes.
However, we'd like to be able to do non-blocking reads on these files,
to prevent processes from* when a server goes down.
Does anyone have any ideas how to go about this?

1. How to do non-blocking reads on NFS hard mounts
Hi,
We've got several NFS mounts that are mounted hard, an attempt to
guarentee data integrity.
However, we need to do non-blocking reads on files in an NFS hard
mounted directory so that we can determine if the NFS server is still serving .
Does anyone have any ideas how to go about this?
