Unix systems administrator
Description: the Unix systems administrator assists in the ongoing
development and maintenance of the technical infrastructure required to
host a high-volume Web site (currently 30-plus Sun Solaris computers).
Requirements: experience with Sun Solaris computers and multiprotocol
network engineering (Cisco routers, hubs, TCP/IP, and so on). Unix systems
administration skills including installation, tuning, balancing, and
capacity planning. Knowledge of mail systems, WANs, and Cisco hardware
would be a huge plus, as would experience in a Web environment. Applicants
should be team-oriented and have the ability to work in a rapidly changing
environment.
