Subject:  US-NY-NYC - VAX/C/SYBASE PROGRAMMER/ANALYST

Prestigious Investment Management firm in NYC is looking for a Programmer/
Analyst to work on Security Processing and Portfolio Management Systems.  
Applicant must have a college degree (BS or MS) with 2-5 years of work  
experience in developing VAX/VMS software.

Responsibilities:

     *Take responsibility for one or more existing major systems.
     *Design and develop new systems
     *Provide technical and operational support to various users.
     *Develop applications operating in a client/server mode with a
graphical
     user interface.

Required Skills:

     *Have solid knowledge of VAX/VMS.  Must know DCL and some System
Library
     Routines.  Should have som PC/DOS knowledge.
     *Must be proficient in Fortran and/or C.  Must have written in VAX
     Fortran or C recently and have used some of the system run time
library
     routines.
     *A knowledge of relational databases would be a positive, either
through
     work experience or schooling.  SYBASE is preferable.
     *Should be familiar with te financial industry.  Knowledge of
securities
     account/processing and fixed income securities in general would be a
     plus.
     *Should have strong interpersonal skills.
