How to determine the priority and facility of a specific syslog message?

Hi,

Pretty simple question I was hoping to get a quick answer, please-

Given a syslog message, how can I determine its priority and facility?

Thanks...
Daniel.

1. syslog config, make it print facility.priority

I would like to see the pair facility.priority in the logfiles to be
able to better adapt syslog.conf.

Can this be done on Linux. man 5 syslog.conf has nothing about it.
