Description:
The Core Engineer is responsible for expanding the capabilities and
features of StoryServer, Vignette's web content application system.
The Core Engineer will focus on the production engine and delivery
engine components of the StoryServer product and will develop new
features aimed at the production and delivery of high-performance,
high-availability dynamically served web content.
The ideal candidate will have strong application development
experience under Windows/NT 4.0 and/or UNIX using Microsoft Visual
C++, GNU development tools or equivalent development environments,
possess excellent problem-solving skills and be highly adaptable to
the ever-changing challenges of the Internet.
Requirements:
Must have 6 years of application software development experience on
Windows/NT or Unix. This individual must be familiar with HTML, HTTP,
and web content delivery mechanisms. Experience with web servers such
as Netscape, OMI, Apache, and IIS is required as well as relational
database experience including the following: Oracle, Informix/Illustra
or MS SQL Server. Must be fluent with Visual C++, GNU development
tools or equivalent environments.
