The Programmer Analyst will work on a software development project that will
design and implement a graphical interface for the mathematical modeling
package known as Mx. The interface will be centered on the display and
comprehension of path diagrams and matrix algebra. The new product will be
made available to scientists from many disciplines, such as genetics,
psychology, and medicine. The duties will include the following: implementing
the Mx graphical interface on Microsoft Windows 4.0 from a working prototype
running on Nextstep, light system administration work, and work in porting
FORTRAN code to a variety of Unix workstations.
The candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the C programming
language, experience programming in the Microsoft Windows environment, and
experience with FORTRAN and Unix is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Computer
Science and or equivalent work experience is required. A Master's degree in
Computer Science with relevant work experience is preferred. At least three
years of experience working with the C programming language and experience
programming in the Microsoft Windows environment is desirable.
