is there a SCCS tool available out there which is better than SCCS on
Sun ?

  Although I am only familiar with SCCS myself, I have had many
people inform me that RCS is a much better source code control
tool.

cvs (cvs-1.3.tar.gz from your favourite GNU archive server)
extends the usefulness of RCS and there is even a TCL/TK based
GUI (ftp.cpsc.ucalgary.ca:/pub/users/marwood/gic-1.2b1.tar.Z).
