Compatibility between RPC's

Compatibility between RPC's

Hi, I am writing a simple file transfer program between SUN and VAX.
Since the data representations are different in the systems, I shall
take account of proper conversion of the data types. I was told that
VAX also provides RPC product (DECrpc) so I wrote the program using
PRC. But, I fond that DECrpc is different from SUN's; they say that
DECrpc is based upon Apollos's rpc product.

Then, my question is this: I wrote the "same" program ( as far as I can )
in both rpc libraries. Then, I run rpc server on VAX (written in DECrpc)
and connect it from SUN client (written in sun rpc), what happens??
