I'm writing an app for Solaris 8, I would like to make this app as
small as possible (footprint wise). Using 'prstat' and 'top' I get a
resident working set of about 2.5 megs (compiled with cc version 5.1
using '-xildoff -xO2').
Is there anyway to get a breakout of the resident set to see what is
taking up memory? Would different compiler options help? How about a
a different compiler (and runtime library) like GNU?
Thanks!
