US-CT-SOUTHERN - SR PROGRAMMER/ANALYST - VAX/VMS, C/C++

Major International Information Service in Southern CT is looking for a
Senior  
Programmer/Analyst to maintain and enhance a VAX database server
application  
for the financial industry.  This database provides security data,
real-time  
prices and analytics to set off fixed-income products.  This position also
in-
volves maintainance and enhancement of middleware which provides
connectivity  
and API between PC applications and the database.  Individual will provide

full life-cycle support for current and future product development, and
will  
interface closely with Development, Analytics, and Marketing teams.  
Candidates must have a BS in Computer Science or Engineering, at least 5
years  
of commercial VAX/VMS development experience, strong C programming,
experience  
with automated source code management tools, and strong software analysis
and  
design skills.  Candidate must also have strong interpersonal skills as
this  
position requires interfacing with Development, Analytics, and Marketing
teams  
for product development.  A good working knowledge of Windows(C/C++)
program-
ming, experience in VAX and PC network programming (including SOCKETS), and

familiarity with securities and financial markets is desirable.
