Previous commands with arrow keys. Howto?

Post by Julio Ueha » Sun, 03 Jan 1999 04:00:00

I am using Free_BSD (2.2.6 Release) for almost 2 weeks already, but still
can't figure how to repeat my previous commands just by the touch of a key. In
Linux I used to press the (up or down) arrow key. Is there an easy way in
Free_BSD?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Try running a shell that supports command histories, etc. I use bash. It
might not be installed by default. If typing 'bash' doesn't work,
install from the port. It's in /usr/ports/shells/bash2 ....
