IDE rack

Post by Gregory Edigaro » Sun, 06 Aug 2000 04:00:00

Hello!

Is it possible to use a rack mounted IDE disk?
I mean how do I explain IDE controller and FreeBSD that the disk
is absent without making a full reboot of the system?
And how do I explain the same things, if I change an IDE disk in a rack?
I know that scsi answers all my questions, but I don't have any scsi
disks around here.

IDE disks have no place in non-SOLARIS UNIX systems.

                        Hope this helps,
                              Don

Then why do you ask them here, my son?

                        Yours in Christ,
