Hi all. I am looking into doing a FreeBSD 2.1.5-RELEASE Floppy
installation. In the docs at www.FreeBSD.ORG it refers to make a second
non-msdos disk with the file root.flp I have not been able to obtain
this file from their FTP server (ftp.FreeBSD.ORG). Does anybody know
where I may retrive this from the NET? thanks alot.

root.flp isn't around any more. www must be out of date :(

1. Redhat 6.0 ramdisk floppy installation failure
Just trying to boot Redhat 6.0 on a 2*500MHz DS20 and it bombs out on
loading the root fs from the ramdisk.
I've downloaded the generic-up-223.img and the updated (28 May 1999)
ramdisk.img
When I boot it asks for the ramdisk floppy and then says;
RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0 Am I doing something wrong or is this method of installation broken ? Cheers, 3. slackware floppy installation 4. return code 5.
