New nntpd suggestion for a small site?

I'm currently using Leafnode+ to host some newsgroups.  I'm making heavy use
of Leafnode's dynamic setup, so that I only carry groups that are actually
read (about 60 out of 46,000 that I have access to).  It works pretty well,
but I'm considering migrating to a different package.  My requirements are:

 - Free.

 - Supports newsgroups-on-demand, ala Leafnode

 - Supports local newsgroups

 - Can connect to multiple upstream servers

 - Can selectively disallows groups matching a regular expression

My main complaints against Leafnode are that it doesn't support local
groups, uses *lots* of inodes, and isn't particularly designed for
robustness.  I really don't mind learning a more complicated system, as long
as it's well-documented somewhere.

Thanks for any ideas,

is very scalable and robust indeed!

you can follow the link and they also got *accessive* documentation on
that.
