Help!: Internet connection problem

Post by hihy.. » Tue, 05 Dec 2000 11:05:06

Hello

Could somebody help me out to connecting the Internet.
I'm using Bell sympatico high speed (PPPOE, dynamic ip)

I installed freeBSD 4.1.1 and compiled Kernel with
options NETGRAPH
options NETGRAPH_PPPOE
options NETGRAPH_SOCKET

I read handbood, searched all the information from Deja but I couldn't
solve the problem.
I'm really at my wits end now. I'll appreciate any help to solve this.

Thank you.

Those are some information in my system and message outputs.

1. HELP!! Internet connection problem PLEASE HELP!!!

HELP!!!! We have a new site set up for public access internet.  Just
converted from ESIX to Linux, and have a major problem.

It seem at random times all internet access is gone.  Acts like the
daemon is locked up..  The other maching (ESIX) has no problems accesing
the outside network.  Or we have no problems accessing it (ESIX) from the Linux
box, or accesing the router.  We can't access our name server (NS.UU.NET)
from the linux box but can from the esix box.

Can someone PLEASE give us some hints on what to look at???
We have major bucks tied up in this and have been on and off the
network for several day's.

Rebooting has no effect....  JEEEEEZZZZZ

to the source of the problem.

thanks!!!
