I have a gateway machine ( ed0 on LAN and tun0 for ppp connection)
and a couple of other non gateway machines on the ethernet (typical).

Using user ppp with aliasing turned on ( ppp -alias or ppp -nat) the
gateway machine does route ethernet frames but only after I manually
place an arp entry pointing to the gateway machine on the non gateway
machines.

I have tried 'proxy' and 'proxyall' but can't get the gateway to reply
to the arp
broadcast. Watching with tcpdump. What setting on the gateway machine
generates the proxy arp reply ?

In this configuration, you shouldn't have to proxy arp anything.  On an
ethernet network such as yours, this should happen behind the scenes
automagically.  Make sure the client and gatweay machines have the same subnet
mask settings.  Also, set your client machines to have your gateway machine as
their "default gateway" and make sure that you have "gateway_enable" set to
"YES" in your /etc/rc.conf file.

1. CivCTP (lokigame) on fbsd 4.2 fails, works on 3.3

Hi!

I recently upgraded my system from 3.3 to 4.2-RELEASE, installed all
the necessary ports for linux compatbility, kernel options etc.
for posix extensions. Realplayer(linux) runs, among other things.

But civctp fails on 4.2, while it runs on 3.3:

With the glibc-2.0 binaries, it dies with

  Bad system call (core dumped)

With the glibc-2.1 binaries, it dies with

  Bus error (core dumped)

Any ideas ? Did someone succeed ? Did I miss some details ?
