Can't run StarOffice*.*

Post by Theac » Thu, 05 Aug 1999 04:00:00

Hello,
I'm trying to get StarOffice installed on my machine but I'm running
into a small problem. I've got linux emulation installed, the linux libs are
installed, the glibc-2.01 patch is installed, and I've got all the
StarOffice install libs converted to lowercase and moved to /usr/lib. However,
every time I attempt to run StarOffice, it sits there for awhile loading, then
runs the install program. I've tried directly running soffice.bin but I get the
same results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

I'm running 5.1 on a 3.1 FreeBSD system. Make sure you have .sversionrc
file in home directory.  I had to create this file manually when I
installed.  The contents of the file are below.  The second line points
to the where you installed StarOffice.

[Versions]
StarOffice 5.1=/usr/home/foo/Office51
