You could try the tpconfig port at
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=24299
To make it work you need to modify the kernel.
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=20352

I use it on the synaptics touchpad to stop the tap action.

Tell me if it works, or if you need any help.

1. Glidepoint (touch-surface) "finger tapping" support?

Hello,

Speaking of touch screens, I'm going to get my hands on a Glidepoint
device.  It plugs like a mouse and with three buttons it shouldn't be
distinguishable for any program which reads the serial port.

BUT, I'm told it has a feature supported under MS-DOG which enables
tapping on the surface to be translated to mouse-clicks (one tap for
one click, "double-tap" for double-click).  I heard someone is working
on support for this.  Is this true?  Can someone point me in the right
direction?

Cheers,
