Can anyone get the above mentioned card to work with BSD???

Also, does anyone know how to get X-windows to work with Matrox MGA
Millenium???

Thanks in advance.

1. FreeBSD 2.2.7 + Pentium II, PCI motherboard and Intel EtherExpress Pro/100+

Hi,

I'm onto setting up my fourth FreeBSD system and I thought I was
getting the hang of until this last machine. All of the others were
're-cycled' 486's and now I've been handed a brand new PC and am
having problems.

This machine has an LX chipset (I left the model details at work!),
300MHz Pentium II with 128Mbyte of RAM. Storage is a 9Gb IBM SCSI II
hard drive, Sony SCSI CD-ROM and Exabyte drive hanging off an Adaptec
2940UW PCI SCSI card. The NIC is an Intel EtherExpress Pro/100+.

The setup went well-enough and I have Apache (1.2.5) Samba and
Sendmail running - most of the time.

However, from time to time the machine drops off the LAN, telnet and
ftp sessions are dropped, http and smb sessions hang and I can't get a
reply to ping. After a few minutes (!) everything appears normal.

Where should I start looking?

all help gratefully received.

Steve.
