Hi,
after updating to 4.7-STABLE my notebook (Dell Inspiron 7000) does not
recognize pccards after resume from suspend. I have to eject and
re-insert the cards to get them known to the system.

In my kernel config I have (different from GENERIC)
device                apm0    at nexus? flags 0x20
and
options       PCIC_RESUME_RESET
while the later has no effect.
Attached below is an excerpt of system messages.

Any help is appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem on my Dell Inspiron 3500.
Moreover FreeBSD must leave the system in a strange state, because
it cannot hot reboot (reboot without power down). The BIOS hangs.
This was not the case in 4.6-RELEASE (for 4.6.2, i don't remember if
i have tested). I have sent a mail to freebsd-mobile but have seen
no answer.

: Any help is appreciated.

<snip>

I have had the reboot problem since I put FreeBSD on my Laptop. It is a
Compal TS30T which is the same as a Dell Inspiron 3500. Anyhow, I
updated to 4.7-Stable from yesterday and suddenly I can HOT reboot. This
is a first since early 4.x. I don't know about earlier versions, but I
have definitely had this problem since atleast 4.1 or so. Which was the
first version I loaded on this laptop.

I don't have any info on the suspend resume problem, but the reboot
problem seems to be fixed now.

1. Type "(", ")" and "{", "}" in X...

Hi,

When i start a shell under X, i can type all characters on my keyboard,
the same when i start the simple editor, but when i start Forte (Java
IDE) written in Java i cant use the "(", ")", "{", "}" and allmost none
of the characters that are located on the same key as a number...

Does anybody have an idea what i can do about that... could it be
something with programs written in Java..?

Mvg,
Erwin
