Trident 9440 chipset driver for X

Trident 9440 chipset driver for X

Does anyone know how to get a higher resolution
than 640x480 out of the Trident TGUI 9440 Agi
card. The existing Trident driver does not
recognize the chipset.
Is there a new driver ?

1. Trident 9440 chipset

I have also read with grief that the 9440 chipset is not known to the xwindows
setup. Is it possible or has anyone used the 8900cl/D information with the
9440 card.  I want to get xwindows at work but i am stuck with the Jc9224
card which has the 9440 chipset on it.  xf86config/superprobe cant determine
what the card is.  I am using xwindows 3.1.1.
