Hi,
I have a Digital 2100 (3 Processor 4/275) that I am trying to install
FreeBSD 4.5 on. I am booting from the ISO. The problem I've encountered
looks to be one that others have seen, but I can't seem to find a solution.
Towards the end of the boot, as the SCSI is detected I see the following
error:
sym0: No NVRAM, ID7, Fast-10, SE, parity checking
CACHE TEST FAILED: DMA error (dstat=0x81).sym0: CACHE INCORRECTLY CONFIGURED
The system then panics and wants to reboot.
I've checked the I/O board as well as the ECU to see if there are any
options for this SCSI chip. No luck. Does anyone have a work around?
Thank you...
-Andy
