I see in the kernel config that 80xx SMC ethernet cards are
supported. What about the 8432? I'm using 2.1.5. If it's not supported,
does a patch or driver software exist?

1. Ethernet SMC-8432-BT does not work, HELP!
I cannot make my SMC 8432 BT card work under Linux.
This SMC card is a PCI combo twisted/thinnet version. It works fine
under Windows for Workgroups 3.11.
My configuration: gateway DX2-66, 8 MB RAM, kernel 1.2.8.
The card is connected to the twisted wire net.
I recompiled kernel several times, trying all options
that seemed to make sense. The network is still unreachable.
I also tried putting on/removing BNC terminator.
I also tried to pass parameters to the kernel via LILO:
LILO boot: linux ether=0,0,eth0
LILO boot: linux ether=9,fc80,eth0
since the card is reported to be at IRQ=9 and FC80 under DOS.
Nothing seems to work.
