1. xntpd stops working, something to do with invalid drift value
Hi,
I am running xntpd on a number of Solaris 2.6 machines in my lab, all
exhibit the following behavior:
The process is listed in a "ps -ef", but the last message logged in
/var/adm/messages was almost a week ago (close to the time I started the
deamon), and the last entry was "drfit value ' ' invalid", where the '
' represents blank space, or unusual characters. I have specifed a drift
file in ntp.conf, and left it empty and writable before starting the deamon
for the first time. All of the drift files have floating point numbers
(some negative and some positive) .
Any ideas?
