building error for Cyrus SASL

Post by Peter W » Wed, 26 Feb 2003 15:02:54

I attempted to install Cyrus SASL v1.5x from ports and got the following
error message. What's wrong with the build?

1. Cyrus SASL Compile Error

** Don't flame me if this is in the wrong newsgroup. ***

** Not sure where I should post this question **

Hope someone can help me out. I need this program for my sendmail SMTP AUTH.

I have compiled this same program on another box (Slack 9.0, kernel 2.4.20)
and it works but on this box (Slack 8.0, kernel 2.2.19), there was an error.

It says cannot find this file "krb.h". Seach the entire hard disk, cannot
find it. Even on my Slack 9.0 (which compiled fine), I still cannot find it.

tried both (with prefix or without prefix)
./configure --enable-login
or
./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-login

this error occur when I was doing a "make"
