bootpgw

bootpgw

Post by Marco La Port » Sat, 23 Mar 1996 04:00:00

I need help to configure a gateway bootp host.
I would to permit that client in a subnet could make remote diskless
boot with a server in another subnet. So I would configure the gateway
from these subnets as a "bootP" gateway.
How can I do it ?

Any help would be appreciated.

1. Selective use of bootpgw - possible?

We want to forward bootp requests from a small, quiet subnet to a
busier one.  Running bootpgw on our gateway machine does this nicely,
but it accepts packets from both subnets.  Is there a bootpgw patch or
alternative program which will only listen for bootp clients on a given
subnet/interface?
