Automatic Email Responses

Does anyone know of a way to set up a method of setting up an
individual's mail account on a FreeBSD based mail server so that an
automatic response it sent to the sender?  For example, if someone went
on vacation for a week, the mail server would send back a message saying
that the person would be out of the office until x date.

BSD:  A psychoactive drug, popular in the 80s, probably developed at UC
Berkeley or thereabouts.  Similar in many ways to the prescription-only
medication called "System V", but infinitely more useful. (Or, at least,
more fun.)  The full chemical name is "Berkeley Standard Distribution".
