Try the installation boot floppy from FreeBSD 2.1. You can still use your
old 2.0.5 CD with it, though you'll also need a kernel from 2.1 to actually
stay working post-install. I suggest simply going 2.1 all the way.

1. Question : Install WD7000-FASST2 Redhat 5.1 linux possible
Hi,
I want to install a WD7000-FASST2 under linux Redhat 5.1.
I have de Redhat 5.1 distrubution CD's a scsi cdrom and hd.
The card is setup irq: 15 dma: 6 iobase : 0x350
I have the system is an Pentium 100 MHz, 32 MB, 3c509, MGA video.
I boot with the boor floppy start installation.
Questions about keyb and then the question which installtion I want.
I chose local CDROM and SCSI the WD7000 card. Now the fun starts.
When I select the "probe system" ?? I get something what looks like a
dump last message is Iahee killing interrupt handler ?
When I select addition commands I give the option "wd7000=16,6,0x350"
then again the message no SCSI devices found is displayed.
The WD7000-FASST2 is working I've tested it with an DOS appl "SCAN.EXE"
which scans the SCSI bus for devices and it reports the devices on the
SCSI bus ok.
What am I missing here ???
Please help me to get this system working.
