Modem in FreeBSD

Hello all, I am a newbie to FreeBSD and have had relatively good luck with
the OS.  Alas I cannot get my modem to work properly.  When I run "dmesg |
grep sio" the os recognizes my modem as sio2.  I cannot get it to dial out
though.  Any suggestions.  Thank you in advance.

So, what are you putting in the
set device
line in your ppp.conf?

I believe it should be either
set device /dev/cuaa0
set device /dev/cuaa1

You might try posting your ppp.conf file and see what folks think.

1. Netscape Plug-ins under Freebsd ??

Folks;
I am looking at writing a Netscape Plug-in. I have the Netscape
"PluginSDK30b5" from their website. There is no FreeBSD makefile, but
the Linux one runs to completion; creating npsimple.so.
Unfortunately, Netscape 4.04 crashes when I put this in the plugins
directory and ask about loaded plugins.

I notice that the linux binary version specifically calls out ELF
format. Is the problem the lack of the object format? What is the
situation concerning plugins on FreeBSD?
