Multilink PPP

Multilink PPP

I assume the answer is yes, but ...  can FreeBSD do 'multilink PPP'?
That is, using several simultaneous PPP links to simulate a larger
bandwidth channel?

If so, how does one go about setting it up?

Multilink PPP

The development version of user-ppp now does multilink ppp.  It's
funcitonal, but hasn't been tested against any other multilink
implementations (yet).

If you're willing;

At the moment, it's only available if you use CVSUP/CTM to get the
latest FreeBSD sources.  If so, do a "cvs co -r MP ppp etc_ppp"
followed by a "make" in the ppp directory.  There's a brief
example of how to get things up in ppp.conf.sample and there's some
bits in the man page.

Server-side has a minor problem that I'm looking at now.  Once
it's solved, I'll go about merging into FreeBSD-current.

I'd really appreciate any comments & criticisms :-)

1. Linux Multilink PPP connection with 2 dial-up modems

Finding information on this subject seems to be difficult.  Is EQL the only
Linux support for "Multilink PPP"?

Is EQL compatible with an ISP running a US Robotics Total Control Box?  If
anyone is aware of some detailed documentation on configuring Linux for
Multilink PPP, please let me know.

More importantly, when an ISP says they support Multilink PPP, does this
mean EQL will work, or is there some other method for doing Multilink?

Thanks,

Mike
