sniffit.0.3.7.beta core dumped

Hello!

I have a problem. What do I do wrong?

Quote:>bash-2.03# sniffit -d -p 7 -t A.B.C.D
>Supported Network device found. (ed1)
>Sniffit.0.3.7 Beta is up and running.... (A.B.C.D)

>Segmentation fault (core dumped)
>bash-2.03#

there A.B.C.D is some IP.

Settings:

I have included this string into my kernel config:

Quote:>pseudo-device   bpfilter 4      #Berkeley packet filter

then I recompiled kernel, MAKEDEVed and rebooted:

Quote:>bash-2.03# ls -la /dev/bpf0
>crw-------  1 root  wheel   23,   0 Jun  8 01:37 /dev/bpf0

I have upgraded my kernel (to 3.3-RC) and ports collection, then
recompiled sniffit once more.

This fault still exists.

What is wrong ?

PSbash-2.03# uname -a
FreeBSD myhost 3.3-RC FreeBSD 3.3-RC #3: Thu Sep  9 12:07:29 MSD

How about running 'gdb' on the core? How about compiling sniffit with
some debug symbols?

1. Sniffit dumps core

Hello everyone!
I am trying to run sniffit (Version 0.3.7 Beta) on connection between
FreeBSD and Windows NT.
Sniffit activates, goes into promiscuous mode [ed0: promiscuous mode enabled
Sniffit.0.3.7 Beta is up and running.... (192.168.1.2) ] but whenever there
is any activity present
on the ed0 (telnet, samba, ftp) it dumps core on me and exits on signal 11.
E.g  /kernel: pid 360 (sniffit), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped).
What could be a problem?
Thank you.
Slava
