Wine problem under Freebsd (maybe freebsd ports?)

Post by Kosta » Wed, 01 May 2002 16:08:08

bash-2.05a$ wine --winver win2k pce.exe
Could not stat /mnt/cdrom (No such file or directory), ignoring drive D:
fixme:reg:GetSystemInfo not yet supported on this system
fixme:ddraw:Main_DirectDraw_SetCooperativeLevel (0x283420a4)->(00010021,00000011)
err:module:BUILTIN_LoadModule loaded .so but dll joystick.drv still not found
err:module:BUILTIN_LoadModule loaded .so but dll joystick.drv still not found

Any idea what causes that to happen under FreeBSD? (i'm using Wine 20020411)  Maybe this is something FreeBSD port maintainers could have a look at?)

System is: FreeBSD 4.5-STABLE #2: Fri Apr  5 16:06:32 EST 2002

Thanks heaps for giving any reponces.
 Kosta.

It could be that you cdrom mounts as a different device, for example, i
have a dvd cdrom, so mine mounts as /media/dvd.  Find out what your cd
mounts as and change it in your ~/.wine/config file to match that mount,
you should run fine after that.

Hope this helps.

1. Wine,wine,wine - I need help with wine

Help
I down loaded and installed Wine to Linux 2.0.22 and Xwindows (XFree).
I think it's installed correctly.  I am getting a 'drive not found/path
not found' error.  I have my wine.conf in the right place (I think).
I'm using Win95 and hda3 and Linux on hda1.  I need a reality check.  Is
it hard to set up Wine?  Does someone have a working wine.conf file that
might guide me to a working wine.   Wine, wine, wine and beer. Ok I'll
stop wineing

Thanks
George
