Hi !
I am -almost there with my connection to U-net - I have recently moved onto
FreeBSD 2.2.5 from Linux. I can dial up, get the connection, login, and it
appears to link up successfully:
ppp[1434]: LCP: State change Ack-Rcvd --> Opened
ppp[1434]: Phase: NewPhase: Authenticate
ppp[1434]: Phase: NewPhase: Network
ppp[1434]: LCP: IPADDR [6] 194.119.189.62
ppp[1434]: LCP: COMPPROTO [6] 002d0f00
ppp[1434]: LCP: Received Echo Reply (2) state = Opened (9)
ppp[1434]: LCP: IPADDR [6] 194.119.189.62
ppp[1434]: LCP: COMPPROTO [6] 002d0f00
ppp[1434]: LCP: OsLinkup: 194.119.130.2
ppp[1434]: LCP: Received Echo Reply (3) state = Opened (9)
At this point, if I do an ifconfig tun0, it confirms that PPP is up and
running. If however I try to ping the nameservers on 194.119.131.65 and 66,
they aren't there (no route to host). Can anyone please help - it must be
something very simple ? Some working examples would be useful - I have had
a working setup with Windows 3.1x, Win 95, OS/2, Linux - I seem to be a bit
stuck here though ?
Thanks, Peter
