Hi again.

I've been reading thru the FreeBSD FAQ and FreeBSD Handbook, and the FAQ
says that ATAPI CD-ROM's are supported, but the Handbook says it's experi-
mental ALPHA quality code.  How alpha?

And, when I cranked up the install/boot disk, it didn't seem to offer any
such device.  Do I ignore that and rebuild the kernel later with the support?
(I'm assuming that, since I didn't see anything listed under Multimedia
either, so I assume I need to compile in the audio stuff as well.)

Does anyone see a compatibility problem with the following specs?  Unless
I've forgotten something, the current system config is:

System: Micron Millenia Pro 200 MHz (Venus)
  -*-  Case: ATCX Minitower
-*-  CPU: Intel Pentium Pro 200 MHz
  -*-  BIOS: American Megatrends (AMI) Version 1.00.02.CS15 (c) 1992
  -*-  RAM: 80 MB
-*-  IDE controller: i82371 PIIX (Triton) on PCI bus (says Linux)
-*-  Primary   IDE Master: Conner Peripherals CFS1081A 1032 MB hard disk
  -*-  Primary   IDE Slave:  (empty)
  -*-  Secondary IDE Master: Hitachi 8X ATAPI-BUS EIDE (CDR-7930) CD-ROM
-*-  Secondary IDE Slave:  Western Digital Caviar 2441 MB hard disk
-*-  Video: ATI All-In-Wonder (3D Rage II) (PCI Local Bus, 4MB RAM)
-*-  Audio: Creative Labs SoundBlaster 16
  -*-  Network: 3Com PCI 10/100BASE-T Fast Etherlink 3C595-TX (Vortex)
-*-  SCSI: BusLogic BT-958 Wide Ultra SCSI PCI
-*-  Mouse: Microsoft Port Compatible Mouse 2.1A (PS/2 style)
Modem: U.S. Robotics Sportster 14.4 FaxModem (external)

The modem (I hope) will get upgraded soon, but I haven't done any research
into what I should replace it with.  I'll stick with external though,
since I don't forsee needing the serial port any time soon.

Thanks for any feedback.
