perhaps a little off-topic: cancel CUPS-printing job via http://localhost:631

hi,

perhaps someone can help me:

I've got a Canon S450 USB running with CUPS and sometimes, I have to cancel a job.
In the shell cancel [job-id] works for me, but cancel -a doesn't.

But since I want to do the printing-administration via browser, I use port 631, which works so far.

I can stop the printer, start and configure him, but I can't cancel the printing jobs, even my own,
even if I'm run the browser as root.

Any suggestions?

benny

ls -al /usr/bin/cancel

gives

lrwxr-x---  1 root  wheel  /usr/bin/cancel -> /usr/local/bin/can

ls -al /usr/local/bin/cancel

gives

-r-xr-xr-x  1 root  wheel  /usr/local/bin/cancel

I am in the group wheel.

Hi,
I've exactly got the same problem - and not a solution yet.
The newsgroups on
http://www.cups.org
are so slow, that it is impossible to find helpful postings.
