How to enable pcvt?

Quote:>What is the correct procedure for switching to the pcvt console driver?

In your kernel config file, disable the syscons-entry (starts with
"device sc0") and enable the pcvt entry (starts with "#device vt0").

Recompile your kernel. In the meantime read the docs and examples under
directory "/usr/share/pcvt".

A better startup procedure for pcvt users is contained in PR7100, which
integrates pcvt configuration into the rc.conf/rc.i386 mechanism.

Hope this helps,

1. Rh6.2 - telnet server not enabled, how to enable?

I have an installation of RH6.2 that I cannot telnet into. I try to connect
from my Windows box, and I don't even get a login prompt. Is this service
not enabled by default?

What is the telnet daemon called under RH62, and where do I configure it to
start at boot time?

I would like to set it to deny most IP addresses, as well.
