Trying to compile the Ingres package from sunsite,
using gcc 2.5.8 on Linux 1.0.8,
I get the following set of errors:
/usr/lib/crt0.o: Undefined symbol _main referenced from text segment
make[1]: *** [ingres] Error 1
/usr/lib/crt0.o: Undefined symbol _main referenced from text segment
make[1]: *** [copydb] Error 1
/usr/lib/crt0.o: Undefined symbol _main referenced from text segment
make[1]: *** [ingconv] Error 1
make[1]: Target `install' not remade because of errors.
make: *** [all1] Error 1
I noticed that most of the files in the Ingres distribution are
pretty old; is there a newer archive available? I'm digging thru
the sources now, but if anyone can point me to a newer version
or even a set of compiled binaries, it would be a huge help.
Thanks.
