I have funny problem with xfig2.1.8 under TAMU 1.0 Linux.
I have no text labels on the bottom buttons (like "GRID"), and also have
mess on the top of my screen. "-button" option works, but it does not effect
the bottom buttons. Does anyone know what all this about,

1. On Solaris 2.6, are patches for JDK1.1.8 necessary for JRE1.1.8?
There are 9 patches for JDK1.1.8_09, among which 105181-15(kernel patch) is
required.
My doubt is, are these patches helpful/necessary for JRE 1.1.8_09 only?
