mdir Problem

mdir Problem

Post by Stephen E. Farl » Tue, 20 Sep 1994 20:02:35

The other evening I mounted /dev/fd1. I then type mdir /dev/fd1 and,
instead of looking at /dev/fd1, it tried to read /dev/fd0.
What happened ???

1. mdir problems

Hi all,

Im having problems with mdir c:.  I have a single line in
my /etc/mtools file starting with "C".  It reads:

C /dev/hda1 16 0 0 0

It's not mounted anywhere else.  When I issue the mdir c:
command, I get /dev/hda1: bad FAT error, or something
of the sort.  I can mount -t msdos /dev/hda1 /dosc just
fine.  Does it have anything to do with fips?  I've even
run dosemu without problems.

Thanks for any tips.
