Anyone compile emacs 19.28?

Has anyone successfully compiled emacs 19.28 for Linux?
I tried last night but everytime I would get a segmentation
fault the first time I ran the program (almost immediately).
Any clues on compiling this package or pointers to an
already compiled version would be appreciated.

1. Has anyone compiled Emacs 19.28?

Hi,

I wanted to compile Emacs 19.28 for my Linux machine at home. I followed the
instructions in the INSTALL file, but the compilation process died a mysterious
death when it was dumping temacs. At first, I thought I ran out of memory or
something, but I tried compiling it again and watched the memory usage with
top. It never even came close to using up all the memory. The error message I
got was this:

unexec.o(.text+0x320): undefined reference to `start_of_text'

I would really appreciate it if anyone can point me to either a pre-compiled
binary or a pointer to how to solve this problem. Thanks.
