Is it possible to switch from the block cursor to an underscore cursor in a
xterm?

1. xterm - no block cursor

Admittedly not Linux specific...but this is where most of the X-related
traffic is nowadays:

What (if any) .Xresource incantation will change the block-style cursor
in an xterm to a less obtrusive underscore style? I'd prefer to not
hack the source since the goal is to use out of the box implementations
of xterm.
