I am maintaining a Qube3. Now it is being used for connecting to
another server. Therefor, it is necessary, that I create a user with a
user name > 12 characters. The administration tool tells me that this
is not allowed.
How can I get rid of this restriction?
I need at least 13 characters. This user (as stupid as it is!) is
definitely needed, because it is used for logging into the other
system and they are not going to change the user on the "other side".
I tried to start adduser or useradd on a terminal, but this does not
seem to work. I even tried to add the user manually in the
/etc/passwd. Also no effect.
Who knows what to do?
Thanks in advance,
