Hi!
I have two LINUX boxes running the same SLS 1.03 distribution.
In one of them, I have this strange problem: When it boots up,
it goes thru /etc/rc properly,
but when /etc/rc.local and /etc/rc.net are called, nothing is
echoed on the screen! In fact, I inserted echo's in the /etc/rc.local,
but even that is not visible! Strangely enough, the daemons are
getting loaded up - all except nfsd, which I am manually running
after boot up. So I never get the message :
/etc/rc.net: hostname... etc.
The rc.* files are identical on the two machines, both are running
0.99pl14 (recompiled by me to get 128 tasks) from the same distribution.
I have tried all kinds of modifications, but the problem persists!
Anyone have a similar experience, or know what might be the problem??
