Ftape and Everex

I have been trying to get the FTAPE module in Linux 1.0 to work
with an Everex floppy tape drive. These things are QIC-40 compatible
but I guess they must be a little different, as the FTAPE software
goes into a complete tiz, when I try to open the device...
If any one can direct me to where I might be able to find a command
summary for this now defunct device, I would like to try and adapt
the FTAPE module to work with this animal...

1. Ftape and Everex

I have an Everex tape drive that I am attempting to make work
with Ftape... It is a QIC-80 unit but does not want to work with
Ftape; has anyone had any experience with this combination.
