I want to upgrade my 386 8Mb with 64K cache to 16Mb. Will 64K be sufficient?

1. Should I upgrade to 16M with only 64K cache
I currently have a 486-33 with 8MB RAM (30 pins) and 64KB cache.
Is upgrading to 16M with this amount of cache reasonable ?
Some people say my system will slow down. Is this true ?
The manual of my motherboard (Elonex with Symphony Chipset and
MR-Bios 1993) says my cache is not "user-upgradable".
What does that mean ?
TIA !
