the current version is XFree86 3.1.1 (not 2.1.1).

XFree86 3.1.1 should be available on any major Linux ftp site.
a list of mirrors is available in

1. XF86_S3 on miroCRYSTAL 20SD ?!?

: I have a mirocrystal 20SD and I can' get the S3 server running!
: It alway complains about an unknown chip even if I set the

I havenot got any problems with my miro 20SD ive set
ramdac "s3_sdac"
clockchip "s3_sdac"

and ive no troubles running 1280x1024x256 or 1024x768x64K

but maybe that depends on the BIOS...
