Hi,
I have been seeing the same errors as some others with
a Mitsumi single speed drive. i.e., can't read the superblock,
timeouts and sometimes just failing to read a blcok, whether
a file or a directory entry.
Yes, - I *do* have iso9660 compiled in, - no, I do not have
any clashing devices. I can read some CDROMs just fine and
others give this problem. All are fine from MessyDOS.
Any ideas?
(I saw a reference to a 1000000 counter/timer the other
day but wasn't having the problem then so trashed the mail.
Remembering this I checked the mcd.c code for this range of
number and only found it in the start up probe, [unless I
misinterpreted the code of course - I only had a quick look].)
Help appreciated.
BTW: 486DLC40Mhz Cyrix, Cyrix built motherboard with caching.
8Mb memory. 2 IDE drives, 1 SCSI (not accessed from Linux.)
